Position Summary
Aegis Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Senior Loads & Dynamics Engineer to support NASA's Transportation Engineering Support (TENS) effort and the Moon Base Transportation (MBT) Office at Kennedy Space Center.
This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the engineering behind NASA's effort to establish a sustained human presence on the Moon. The Moon Base Transportation Office is helping address the end-to-end challenge of transporting spacecraft, payloads, logistics, infrastructure, and other critical elements from Earth to lunar destinations.
As a Senior Loads & Dynamics Engineer, you will help evaluate whether spacecraft, payloads, launch vehicles, and integrated transportation systems can withstand the structural and dynamic environments encountered from launch through mission operations. The work includes coupled loads, structural dynamics, finite element modeling, modal response, acoustic and vibration environments, shock, inertial acceleration loading, hardware testing, model correlation, and independent assessment of integrated vehicle performance.
A key part of this position is applying practical flight-hardware test experience to evaluate qualification and acceptance approaches, test environments, instrumentation, analytical predictions, measured responses, anomalies, and verification evidence. The successful candidate will bring the technical judgment necessary to determine whether analyses and tests adequately demonstrate that hardware is ready for its intended mission.
The engineer will work closely with NASA, spacecraft and launch providers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams while maintaining the independent technical judgment needed to provide objective, risk-informed engineering assessments.
This position may be filled at either the Senior Engineer or Subject Matter Expert level, depending on the candidate's experience, technical depth, and directly relevant background.
