Gate City Aviation, based in Alcoa, TN, is now accepting resumes in search of an outstanding professional to join our team in the capacity of Scheduling Coordinator. This role coordinates all aspects of scheduling to include flight crew considerations, passenger logistics, determining best airports, ground transportation, and other general travel arrangements.
Job Title: Scheduling Coordinator
Location: Alcoa, TN (Hybrid)
Schedule: 3:00PM-11:00PM ET Monday-Friday with weekend & holiday on-call rotation (every third weekend)
Who We Are
Gate City Aviation is a family of Aviation Industry Professionals involved in the scheduling, flight operations, and maintenance for multiple aircraft operating under FAR Part 91. Although Gate City Aviation is admittedly a new name in the Aviation Industry, this Flight Department has existed for over 40 years. Each of those 40 years have been without any aircraft accidents, furloughs, or aircraft fleet reductions.

Salary Range (based on experience): $65k - $90k

Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
Must be eligible for employment in the United States
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Exhibit critical thinking and decision-making skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer knowledge
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently
Strong communication, project management, and follow-up skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent written/verbal communication and customer service skills with internal and external contacts
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment, and under pressure
Ability to review and apply policies and procedures
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
Must be available to work some holidays and weekends and be available for work during all hours within any assigned duty period
Ability to work as a team with other schedulers, maintenance staff, and flight crew
Satisfactory completion of background check
Preferred not Required
Previous experience as a crew scheduler, in aviation operations, or a related field.
Bachelor’s degree or relative experience
Knowledge of airport codes
General understanding of NOTAMS, ATC programs, weather impacting operations
Previous experience with BART by Portside or similar aviation scheduling software
Knowledge of state and federal statutes and regulations as they relate to the aviation industry
