Your role:
- We are looking for a Production Manager
- You will report to the Unit Manager/Deputy Unit Manager
Key responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Hot kitchen, cold kitchen, TSU, robot and assembly management: ensuring that production of all goods is made on time, as per quantity requested by airlines, as per airline specifications and according to Newrest QHSE standards.
- Ensuring that the Robot is operated properly and optimize its efficiency.
- Securing the processes in the department concerning hygiene, quality, quantity, meeting of time blocks and food cost
- Being prepared to give practical help in any part of the kitchen should the need arise
- Ensuring that the staff under your control are aware of the cycle menu changes for the relevant clients, and that they are timeously in possession of the new menu specification.
- Conduct quality and taste checks (chef tables)
- Reviewing the specifications on Winrest and ensuring communication with WR team for updates
- Assisting in menu presentation for current and new customers'
- Ensure successful execution of last-minute orders from airline representative
- Waste tracker on WR for all the department and minimized waste
- Participate in food cost reduction
- Plan production activities according to flight schedules, customer requirements, and operational priorities.
- Ensure manpower planning aligns with operational needs.
- Manage operational incidents and communicate effectively with relevant departments and airline representatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational optimization.
- Support implementation of new operational procedures and best practices.
HYGIENE, SAFETY AND QUALITY
- Ensure operations teams comply with Group hygiene and safety regulations, HACCP standards, and Newrest Group procedures.
- Apply and enforce hygiene and food safety principles, including HACCP and internal non-negotiable standards.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, transportation, and traceability of products.
- Ensure all PPE is worn consistently and correctly at all times.
- Apply and enforce the company allergens policy.
- Maintain and service production equipment and vehicle fleet using Group tools (Fractal or other systems).
- Ensure the smooth execution of all hygiene and quality audits within the area of responsibility (e.g. Intertek audits).
- Master and enforce all Newrest Group procedures, as well as client-specific procedures (COBM).
- Ensure strict compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards and all applicable food safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute actively to a safe and secure working environment by identifying risks, reporting incidents, and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
- Promote a strong QHSE culture (I CARE) by ensuring adherence to procedures, clear communication of guidelines, and effective use of company tools and systems.
HR Management
- Oversee the coordination and administrative management of staff in their department using dedicated IT tools (scheduling, tracking of work hours, and handling of irregularities).
- Develop staff schedules (permanent and temporary employees) based on departmental needs using the software and in accordance with current regulations.
- Forward relevant information to site management (sick leave, vacation request forms, medical visits, attendance sheets, schedules, etc.).
- Ensure the smooth operation of the department by complying with all applicable regulations and company agreements (break times, weekly rest periods, working time agreements, vacation scheduling)
Management
- Lead a team and ensure its professional development and efficiency.
- Conduct performance reviews and, when necessary, disciplinary interviews.
- Manage a team by ensuring compliance with issued guidelines and current procedures.
- Ensure the integration of new temporary and/or permanent employees.
- Ensure that company and Newrest procedures are properly understood and applied.
- Collaborate and communicate with teams to ensure team cohesion.
- Ensure that reports regarding incidents involving Newrest equipment are
prepared (vehicles, phones, printers, etc.).
KPI / Performance Management
- Monitor departmental KPIs including productivity, food cost, wastage, on-time performance, and quality standards.
- Analyze operational performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Qualifications
- Minimum college degree, or skills acquired via job experience
- Experienced in working with computers & different programs (MS Office etc.)
Experience
- Minimum 5 Years Experience of similar role
- Experience of management roles, minimum 3 years
Languages
- Excellent command of English and German required; additional language skills are considered a plus.
