The Product Development & Design function plays a key role in shaping Qatar Airways' onboard customer experience. The team is responsible for developing innovative products and design solutions that enhance passenger comfort, elevate premium brand experience, and support the airline's commitment to maintaining world-class standards across its fleet.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly creative and commercially minded Manager Aircraft Interior to lead the development and integration of current and future aircraft interior features. In this role, you will help shape cabin hard product strategy and creative vision, drawing inspiration from aviation, automotive, consumer electronics, and industrial design industries to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, aircraft manufacturers, suppliers, and design partners to ensure our fleet align with Qatar Airways' premium brand standards while meeting operational, technical, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customer-facing cabin interiors across new aircraft programmes, fleet upgrades, and interior enhancement initiatives.
• Support the development and implementation of aircraft interior strategies that enhance passenger comfort, aesthetics, and brand identity.
• Support in defining interior features, branding elements, lighting concepts, and product specifications that meet premium quality standards.
• Collaborate with industrial design studios, OEMs, suppliers, and innovation partners to develop future cabin product concepts and technologies.
• Lead the translation of design briefs into compelling product concepts, visual experiences, for stakeholder presentations.
• Manage multiple aircraft interior projects and design development milestones to meet fleet programme milestones.
• Represent Product Development & Design as the voice of the customer during aircraft programme reviews, inspections, and acceptance activities.
• Develop cabin layouts, seating concepts, galleys, lavatories, colour schemes, materials, and finishes that support operational and customer requirements.
• Conduct industry research, competitor benchmarking, material evaluations, and trend analysis to maintain leadership in cabin design innovation

Qualification

About You

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Transportation Design, Product Strategy, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of job-related experience in product development and aircraft interiors. Experience within aviation or automotive.
• Experience working within multinational creative environments, product innovation teams, R&D functions, or design studios.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft cabin interiors, product development, design integration, and customer experience concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to benchmark competitors and translate market insights into product improvements and innovation opportunities.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage relationships with suppliers, OEMs, and design partners.
• Demonstrated creativity and innovation mindset with a focus on delivering superior customer experiences across all cabin classes.
