Description

General Description
The Site Lead is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising all contract operations at either one of our locations based at Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID and/ or Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, NC. This position provides leadership and serves as the primary on-site representative responsible for ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements, company policies, and Government regulations. Ideal candidates are experienced F-15 Crew Chiefs with a strong background in flight line maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring aircraft mission readiness. The Site Supervisor fosters a culture of accountability, professionalism, quality, and continuous improvement while maintaining exceptional customer service throughout the life of the contract.
Duties
- Serve as the primary on-site Site Lead / Lead Mechanic and provide day-to-day supervision and technical leadership for assigned contractor maintenance personnel.
- Lead a team in the performance of F-15 aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance to subordinate mechanics and ensure maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable technical orders, technical data, drawings, work orders, task order requirements, and company procedures.
- Perform, supervise, and inspect work performed by Aircraft Mechanic I, II, and III personnel within assigned qualifications.
- Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and modify aircraft structures, structural components, engines, flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, mechanical components, and related aircraft systems as required.
- Apply advanced technical expertise to diagnose complex aircraft discrepancies and restore equipment condition and operation.
- Interpret blueprints, manufacturers' manuals, technical orders, engineering data, and other approved technical documentation to resolve complex maintenance issues.
- Prioritize workload, personnel assignments, and maintenance activities to support aircraft schedules and mission requirements.
- Coordinate daily site activities with the Program Manager/Project Manager and Government representatives as required.
- Coordinate site schedules and operational requirements with the Government Representatives, including shift coverage and designated off-shift Leads.
- Ensure an alternate point of contact is identified, and program leadership is notified prior to the affected shift during planned or unplanned Site Lead absences.
- Provide technical oversight for applicable fiber optic cable installation, cleaning, inspection, and testing activities when qualified and assigned.
- Ensure assigned personnel comply with tool control, FOD prevention, ESD, safety, security, quality, and maintenance documentation requirements.
- Make and/or review required entries in aircraft logs, forms, records, and applicable maintenance information systems.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout aircraft modification and maintenance efforts.
- Support Government inspections, audits, evaluations, and other contract performance activities as required.
- Maintain professional communication and effective working relationships with Government personnel, company leadership, and assigned team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of successful task order execution.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five to ten years of aircraft maintenance experience, preferably on F-15 aircraft, including scheduled and unscheduled organizational-level maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience leading maintenance personnel.
- U.S. Air Force AFSC 2A3X3 / 2A3X3L (Tactical Aircraft Maintenance, F-15) or 2A390 (Fighter Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent), or equivalent fighter crew-chief / production-lead experience, is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical orders, contract requirements, and the performance work statement, and to coordinate work with Government and company leadership.
- Working knowledge of aircraft forms and maintenance information systems is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport and any required visas or travel documentation for CONUS/OCONUS travel.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance with favorable Tier 3/Secret adjudication and remain eligible for installation access, a Common Access Card, and required Government information-system access.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to work the normal Monday-Friday day shift, 0700-1530, and approved overtime or adjusted schedules when mission requirements change.
- Must hold a valid state driver's license when vehicle or airfield-operation duties are assigned.
- Must comply with Tyonek, installation, OSHA, environmental, safety, security, FOD-prevention, tool-control, and hazardous-material procedures applicable to assigned work.
- Must be able to workday shift, night shift, weekends, holidays, overtime, or adjusted schedules as required.

- May be required to lift up to 35 pounds.
- May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
- Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
