Job overview and responsibilities
Directs the activity of flight attendant scheduling at the system Operations Control Center
Oversee and manage all aspects of the Inflight Crew Scheduling functions, with enhanced focus on organization hiring/retention strategy, operation/training continuity, and vendor sustainability
Oversees department hiring, retention and training programs (i.e. new hire/recurrent training, campus hiring, mentorship/development, etc.)
Responsible for the planning and control of all crew scheduling functions
Coordinates and communicates with other operating groups within the NOC
Ensures contractual interpretations and scheduling practices are administered consistently and cost effectively
Administers policies, systems, cost management, staffing and business procedures consistent with company and government regulations and flight attendant union agreements
Monitors performance against forecast and initiates action to control adverse trends
Leads a team of scheduling shift supervisors, senior schedulers and schedulers
Develops employees and encourages positive employee engagement
Functions as a liaison with bases and other departments with the NOC, fostering open communication and modeling teamwork through cross-functional working relationships
Maintains productive relationships with the flight attendant union representatives, and gains clarity on agreements to provide long term solutions to problems
Qualifications
What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's or equivalent years of experience
Minimum 5 years industry experience and 3 years management experience
Background in scheduling/staffing in a dynamic environment with focus on operational, resource and/or financial planning
Accessibility during peak and off-peak times, overseeing a year-round 24-hour operation
Ability to create and sustain developmental and operational strategies for multiple layers of people leaders, management employees and offshored organizations
Ability to work with labor relations and union leaders on disputes in applications of the agreement
Strong verbal communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Read and write in English
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

B.A.
Background in airline execution
3 years experience specific to flight attendant scheduling, or similar logistics and scheduling operations
General understanding of FAR 117
Ability to create or enhance complex staff modeling with a focus on operational performance and Flight Attendant staffing requirements
Process engineering and/or enhancements
The base pay range for this role is $124,735.00 to $162,388.00. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
