About the Role:
As the Supervisor of Aviation Stores & Logistics, you are a results-driven leader with extensive experience managing aviation inventory and materials operations across both hangar-based line maintenance environments and centralized warehouse facilities in fast-paced, high-reliability operations. You oversee stores personnel, inventory control, receiving, shipping, and regulatory compliance while directly supporting maintenance teams to minimize AOG events and ensure continuous aircraft readiness.
You provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight across multiple locations, requiring regular travel between hangars and warehouse facilities to ensure standardized processes, accurate inventory management, and consistent adherence to regulatory and company requirements. You have a proven track record of rebuilding and optimizing inventory programs, improving parts visibility and accountability, and implementing uniform procedures across geographically dispersed stations.
You are highly skilled in demand forecasting, min/max inventory management, inter-station material transfers, and cross-functional collaboration with Maintenance, Purchasing, Quality, and senior leadership teams. Known for your practical leadership style and commitment to team development, you excel at driving operational discipline under constrained staffing and high operational pressure, with a strong focus on safety, traceability, cost control, and continuous process improvement.
A Day in the Life:
Your day will be dynamic and detail-oriented, leading the team and ensuring materials and logistics run seamlessly to support operations:

Support Maintenance Priorities: Communicate with Maintenance and Production teams to prioritize parts support for scheduled maintenance, unscheduled events, and aircraft-on-ground situations.
Oversee Multi-Location Operations: Travel between hangar and warehouse facilities as needed to ensure proper staffing coverage, workflow efficiency, and adherence to standardized processes.
Supervise Daily Stores Functions: Oversee all receiving, inspection routing, stocking, picking, staging, shipping, and core return activities.
Ensure Inventory Accuracy & Traceability: Verify accurate inventory transactions and maintain full parts traceability within inventory management systems from receipt through issue.
Manage Inventory Levels & Distribution: Monitor min/max levels and usage trends; initiate replenishment requests and coordinate redistribution of stock to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
Provide Hands-On Leadership: Support and supervise stores personnel by answering operational questions, resolving issues, and reinforcing accountability and procedural compliance.
Conduct Audits & Cycle Counts: Perform spot checks, cycle counts, and audits to validate physical inventory accuracy and correct discrepancies.
Coordinate Cross-Functional Resolution: Partner with Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics teams to resolve discrepancies, damaged shipments, hazmat requirements, and documentation issues.
Oversee Shipping & Packaging Compliance: Ensure proper packaging and shipment of parts and tooling in compliance with hazmat, airworthiness, and carrier requirements.
Manage Escalations & Urgent Needs: Address escalations related to missing parts, incorrect transactions, backorders, and urgent operational demands.
Track Issues & Report Performance: Document issues, trends, and improvement opportunities; provide leadership with updates on risks, constraints, and operational performance.
Close Out the Day: Review progress against daily priorities, prepare for next-day maintenance needs, and ensure open items are accurately documented and handed off.
