Job Overview
The Aurex Flight Factory is seeking a Purchasing and Supply Chain Specialist to manage procurement for its manufacturing of aerospace and defense products. This position is responsible for proactively ensuring supply management of materials, vendor quality and inventory control and collaborates across production, estimating, finance, quality, and IT departments providing timely and effective procurement.
Job Responsibilities
The Purchasing and Supply Chain Specialist will:
- Support company demand by procuring goods, materials, equipment, and other relevant needs.
- Proactively and promptly address and resolve procurement issues to minimize any impact or delays to production and assembly operations.
- Manage purchasing requisitions, demand, and proactively communicate with suppliers and management to resolve any unclear issues and identify and recommend alternative and/or other suppliers.
- Flow information to all relevant parties to ensure processing of purchase orders and deliveries in a timeframe that supports company success.
- Identify and recommend viable solutions to reduce purchasing related costs and ensure Quality processes are applied to continuously improve procurement.
- Identify and manage new vendor relationships for reliability, product quality, and cost efficiency.
- Support cost, on-time delivery, quality, and vendor performance assessments; prepare and present regular status and performance reports to management and relevant departments.
- Work cross functionally to monitor inventory levels, perform demand planning, and identify and secure purchasing needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, purchase orders, and receipts in compliance with quality management procedures and company requirements.
- Review, monitor, and execute any updates to vendor/internal communications in ERP system including purchase order changes and transactions.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of aerospace preferred or similar experience in supply chain, purchasing, or related background.
- Demonstrated self-initiated work in a team environment while adhering to deadlines.
- Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge utilizing ERP and QMS systems, preferably ECI/JobBOSS and SimpleTrak (or equivalents)
- Ability and proficiency in research and deductive reasoning skills.
- Ability to self-monitor and motivate while adhering to assignments and daily tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Prior experience with aerospace manufacturing
- Working knowledge of AS9100 requirements, Lean manufacturing principles and tools (Lean certification is a plus)
- Experience with Government & Defense contracts

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
