About the Role:
As a Material Planning Analyst, you will collaborate with Tech Ops, Finance, Materials Management, and Supply Chain teams to ensure the seamless flow of materials needed to support daily and forecasted aircraft operations. In this role, you will continuously evaluate inventory needs and strategically allocate materials using data-driven decision making, stakeholder input, and both ad-hoc and recurring analysis. Inventory Optimization: Build and maintain mathematical models to optimize inventory levels and efficiently allocate capital. You'll evaluate the inventory balance sheet and spending, and work closely with purchasing and component repair partners to determine repair strategies, replenishment needs, and backfill procurement.
Supporting Maintenance & MRO Operations: Partner with Maintenance Planning and MRO facilities to coordinate parts staging, forecast demand, and allocate high-usage materials for upcoming maintenance events.
Fleetwide Material Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive material plans for the fleet, determining appropriate inventory levels and establishing minimum/maximum (min/max) stocking for each base and distribution center.
Proactive Material Requests: Issue purchase requests, repair order expedites, and stock transfer requests to the Materials and Supply Chain/Logistics teams to support both scheduled and unscheduled material requirements.
KPI Development & Reporting: Create, track, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Materials Management, while completing additional ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
Inventory Lifecycle & Consignment Management: Work with procurement to manage consignment inventory and collaborate with Supply Chain and Logistics stakeholders on material movement and storage. You'll also identify slow-moving, redundant, or obsolete inventory for disposal or resale opportunities.
Technical Coordination: Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Materials Management to research alternates, validate part effectivity, and update internal systems to ensure accuracy and optimized stocking.
Contract & Program Oversight: Monitor and evaluate agreements related to pooling, exchanges, and leased inventory to ensure cost-effective and reliable material availability.
Additional Support: Assist with other duties as assigned to keep operations running smoothly.
