About the Role:
As a GSE Technician, you are responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on ground support and stationary equipment including tugs, belt loaders, ADA ramps, stationary air conditioning units, air starts, ground power units, water cabinets, and other essential machinery in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. You play a critical role in ensuring that all ground operations run smoothly by keeping equipment reliable and ready for use at all times. This includes inspecting, troubleshooting, and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues while adhering to manufacturer specifications and company safety standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence directly contribute to the efficiency and safety of the overall flight operation.
A Day in the Life:
Your day will be active and collaborative, focused on keeping our ground support equipment reliable, safe, and ready to perform. Typical responsibilities include:
Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members—offering and receiving direction with professionalism and respect to ensure smooth daily operations.
Self-Starter Mindset: Take initiative and work efficiently with minimal supervision, demonstrating ownership and accountability in all tasks.
Aircraft Safety Support: When needed, assist OSCs as a wing walker to safeguard aircraft wings during pushback operations, maintaining clear communication with the driver to prevent hazards.
Equipment Inspection: Inspect vehicles, parts, and equipment for defects, proper fluid levels, and signs of wear to ensure optimal performance.
Tool and Equipment Care: Keep all tools and equipment in safe, working condition and document maintenance or repairs performed on GSE.
PPE Compliance: Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to ensure a safe work environment.
Tool Ownership: Maintain a basic personal tool set appropriate for the job; specialty tools will be provided or rented as needed.
GSE Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine and complex repairs on ground support equipment including carburetors, starter motors, alternators, batteries, radiators, hydraulic drive components, diesel engines, and more following OEM preventive maintenance schedules.
Maintenance Documentation: Record all maintenance actions in Asset Tiger to ensure traceability and compliance.
Shop Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe GSE workspace, ensuring tools and parts are properly stored.
Parts Management: Track and replenish parts inventory as needed to minimize downtime.
Equipment Transport: Move vehicles or equipment safely into the service area by driving, towing, or pushing, and conduct inspections to identify and address issues promptly.

Required Experience:
High school diploma/GED
Ability to occasionally lift 75+ pounds
2 years of ground support experience
Ability to perform intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing.
Available to work flexible shifts including early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends.
Participation in initial and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with the DOT and FAA guidelines.
Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors for an extended amount of time during cold/wet or hot conditions
Read, write, and speak English fluently
Preferred Experience:
Customer Service experience working with high end clients
Travel industry experience
2 years of airline experience
Skill, Licenses, & Certifications:
Expect to travel about 50% of the time
A current and valid Driver's license is required.
Remain professional, logical, and level-headed in all situations, especially stressful situations.
Vigilant and aware of surroundings and circumstances and be present in the moment to recognize and act upon anything unsafe.
Timeline focused with a high degree of calm urgency.
Arrives to work on time and at assigned post to ensure prompt servicing of the aircraft and on time departures
Articulate and polished both verbally and visually.
Knowledge of computer systems such as Google Business, Microsoft Office

Pay & Perks:
Compensation is $29.00/hour. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
